An exotic landscape with the Rest on the Flight into Egypt

This canvas can be compared with the Landscape with the Flight into Egypt in the Galleria Pallavicini, Rome, which is one of the smallest works by Locatelli and also 'one of the highest quality' (A. Busiri Vici, Andrea Locatelli, Rome, 1976, p. 114, fig. 136, no. 90). The Pallavicini painting is close in composition, measurements and impressionistic execution to the present landscape.
