A Chinese blanc-de-chine figure of Guanyin
19th Century
Modelled seated in dhyanasana, with principal arms in dhyanamudra and uttarabodhi, the remaining fourteen arms outstreched and holding various emblems, including a bell, a ruyi-sceptre and a lotus, wearing loose robes and jewellery, her eyes half-closed in meditation, beneath her high elaborate diadem set on front with a figure of Amitabha Buddha, all supported on a high lotus throne, some minor frits and chips
