Lot Essay

The reference 5513 was introduced into the market in 1962 and was available with both chronometer and non-chronometer movements. Examples with the "Superlatively Chronometer Officially Certified" movement however were like their sister models from the 5512 series fitted with the practical hack feature, allowing the wearer to set the watch precisely to the second according to a radio signal.

The present watch is however an interesting transitional version, already fitted with the dial featuring the white printing and designation "Superlatively Chronometer Officially Certified" and a caliber 1570 movement.
