Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1954 and its subsequent sale on January 27th of the following year.

To the best of our knowledge, this watch has never before been offered in public.

The present example is unusual in that rather than having the typical enamel dial this example has a cream coloured metal dial. The dial was replaced by Patek Philippe during a servicing.

Reference 2526 is illustrated in Patek Philippe in America, Reference Guide, by J. Reardon, Vol. 1, p. 75.
