INUIT SCRIMSHAW WALRUS IVORY PIPE
Top row of elk cows, raccoons and other mammals above a row of concentric circular elements, walrus and other animals. Bottom row depicts fishermen on boats hunting whales and seals. Turtles, moose, and deer are also depicted. The other side, top row depicts fishermen paddling kayaks behind a row of whales and sea lions. Three hunters are shown spearing a large animal, while another man is in the jaws of a large animal. Center row shows fish and seals with concentric circular elements. The bottom row portrays hunters with bows and arrows hunting caribou. Sitting dogs are depicted as well as a sled filled with caribou and driven by a hunter. A salmon trap with a group of salmon swimming towards it and a scene of fish hanging out to dry are also represented.
