On shaped circular domed fluted foot chased with four scrolls, the vase-shaped stem cast and chased with shells and acanthus foliage, the upper part of the broadly fluted bowl engraved with Latin inscriptions, with moulded rim, the similar cover surmounted by a, possibly later, standing figure of a musketeer, marked on base and cover

Lot Essay

The translated inscription reads: Maria Cunigunda Princess of the Kingdom of Poland, Duchy of Saxony in memory 1750. This cup is given as first prize by by the Dresden Society of Musketeers.
