SIX ENGLISH DELFT DATED BLUE AND WHITE 'MERRYMAN' PLATES
1682, PROBABLY LONDON
Each inscribed with a numbered verse between a crown and winged cherub mask issuing scrolls and winged dragon's heads, suspending pendant tassel swags, within concentric bands, the border initialed I/·I·K· and dated 1682 between scroll ornament:

3/to·intertaine/his·guefsts·
4/with·wine·/and·merÿ·Jefts
5/but·if his·/wife·doth frowne
6/all·merÿment/goofe downe
