The center painted with figures in an interior seated at a table by a punch-bowl, a nurse with a swaddled baby wrapped at the right, a hound in the foreground, within a circular surround below a key-pattern band, the exterior with a continuous frieze of figures and horsemen in a wooded landscape and before a tavern inn with a sign for 'The Plough', the stepped foot with the initials .B./I·M/1752 within a scroll cartouche flanked by flowering prunus and peony branches
