XVIIème siècle
Canon en fer octogonal, avec visée, gravé d'une cordelière perlée au tonnerre et portant une date (peut être 1692), platine à corps plat avec rouet enclavé et couvre-bassinet à ressort, crosse pleine en noyer avec tiroir de réserve coulissant cannelé, garnitures en fer, baguette en bois postérieure, le côté droit de la crosse marqué d'un numéro d'inventaire 'MA 1193'.

A German wheel-lock sporting carbine
17th century
With swamped octagonal rifled sighted barrel engraved with a band of beadwork at the breech and with traces of date (possibly 1692), iron tang, flat plain lock with enclosed wheel and sprung pan-cover with release button, walnut full stock with fluted wooden sliding patchbox-cover, iron mounts, horn fore-end cap, and later wooden ramrod, the right side of the butt marked with inventory number 'MA 1193'.
