Details
Château Cheval-Blanc--Vintage 1995
Saint-Emilion, 1er grand cru classé (A). Château-bottled
Lot 386 nicked and scuffed label, in original wooden case
Lots 387-390 in two six-bottle original wooden cases
"A very deep purple, almost black. On the nose it shows a pronounced aroma of spices and licorice on top of the ripe red fruits, with hints of sweet, spicy oak, and a masculine, firm stony character. On the palate it was very concentrated with full body, lots of extract and a very long finish. In spite of the richness, the wine was in fine balance, with moderate alcohol, balanced acidity, and firm but not astringent tannins." CC, March 2006
