A GERMAN CUT AND ENGRAVED MAMOUTH GOBLET
CIRCA 1720, PROBABLY SAXON
Engraved with three allegorical groups of maidens with winged putti in attendance, above beaded strapwork plinths divided by trailing fruit and flowers between bands of cut lenses and gadrooning reserved against matt sections, the stem formed as a compressed knop between merses above a large hollow cut knop and spreading foot
