A RARE ART DECO DIAMOND, CARVED IVORY, CORAL, ENAMEL AND TORTOISE-SHELL VANITY CASE, BY CARTIER
The top set with a carved ivory panel depicting a robed woman with rose-cut diamond and cabochon coral detail, the black and cream enamel surround depicting two ivy-covered columns with birds flying above, the sides applied with rose-cut diamond line detail, to the tortoise-shell bottom with mesh and black onyx stud handle, with three concealed compartments to the terminals and one side housing a detachable three-section case for powder, blush and lipstick and a sliding powder case with mirror, circa 1925, 15.5 x 4.5 x 1.5 cm., with French assay marks (*)
