Comprising a necklace, the detachable front section designed as a pierced pavé-set, circular and baguette-cut diamond stylised buckle, the centre with three larger old European-cut diamonds, to the pavé-set and baguette-cut diamond modified scroll neckchain and diamond bow clasp; and a pair of earclips en suite, circa 1935, 32.5 cm. (central section detachable to be worn as a double clip or three individual clips)

Lot Essay

In the 1930s, white jewels were the height of fashion. After the colourful designs of the previous decade, which had been subject to such influences as the discovery of the treasures of Tutankhamun's tomb, jewellery designers opted for the sheer brilliance of diamonds. This was combined with strong geometric patterns to create such marvels as the present suite.
