Perhaps mark of Anne Heerkes from Bolsward, perhaps 17th Century
The trunk-shaped rectangular casket with a hinged domed cover, on four detachable ball supports, the front and sides engraved with four roundels of figures emblematic of Faith, Hope, Love and Charity, the reverse engraved with two marriage scenes, all between scroll-work, the cover engraved with an accollé coat-of-arms, with scroll swing handle and mask lock-plate, the base inscribed JOHANNIS.SEERPS.REEN. and dated 1649, further inscribed with initials O.B. and D.I., marked on base
