A Dutch maiolica polychrome dish
Mid 17th Century, probably Haarlem, Willem Jansz. Verstraeten
Painted in the manner of the Patanazzi workshop in Urbino, the central medallion with Cupid holding a staff, within a cartouche of yellow, ochre and blue concentric circles surrounded by grotteschi, footring pierced for suspension, frits and chippings to the rim, some retouchings to the rim
