Case of typical form, the hood surmounted by giltwood figural finials, brass dial with engraved border, circular aperture to the arch showing the painted moonphase flanked to either side by a gilt brass spandrel, foliate mask spandrels to the corners, silvered chapter ring, matted centre with shaped aperture below 12 for day of week flanked by an aperture inscribed Oder Maen and Water Getij, signature plaque signed Stefanus van Zelm Rotterdam, ringed winding holes, triple train five pillar movement with anchor escapement, quarter chime on eight bells and hour strike on bell; three brass weights, pendulum
