Third quarter 18th Century
Of circular form with pierced upright handles, the flat notched cover with cone finial, painted in iron-red, blue and green enamels and enriched in gilding with allegorical figures emblematic of Religion and Liberty, flanking an orange tree, Liberty holding a staff and Religion flanked by a flaming heart, inscribed below GODSDIENST:EN/VRIJHEID., the tub painted with upright leaves below a band of cartouches, frits, chips, rubbing to gilt, some restorations
