The circular top with an inset central plaque painted with a beauty in Medieval costume, against a violet ground within a turquoise and parcel-gilt border, signed NEMER, the reverse inscribed AUSTRIA/COLLONNA, with inventory number 22949, and impressed 466, surrounded by twelve similarly decorated smaller plaquettes depicting beauties, each impressed to the reverse with 463, the giltwood base with triple cabriole legs joined by a 'Y'-shaped stretcher
