Muromachi period (14th century), signed Momokawa ju Nagayoshi saku
Sugata [configuration]: of shallow symmetrical triangular cross-section
Kitae [forging pattern]: masame
Hamon [tempering pattern]: gunome
Boshi [tip]: kaeri-tsuyoshi
Nakago [tang]: ubu with two mekugi-ana
Nagasa [length of blade]: 40.2cm
Horimono [carving]: broad bo-hi
Together with a later wood shaft (88.5cm long)
Accompanied by a certificate of registration as a Tokubetsu kicho token (Sword worthy of preserving) no. 130181 issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai (Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Art Sword), dated 1967.11.11
