Woodcut of a woman shown half length kneeling before a mirror in the process of blackening her eyebrows with a brush, her hair pulled back and bound with cloth ties, ground deep red, signed Shinsui ga and sealed Shinsui, dated in the image Showa 3, first month (1928.1), published by Watanabe Shozaburo, on verso additional rectangular Watanabe seal, red seal meaning "gift," edition seal no number/160 crossed out in ink--very good impression, good color, small hole restored but visible as stain to left of face, otherwise good condition
