A PAIR OF JADE AND HARDSTONE TREES IN GILT-METAL ENAMEL JARDINIERES

Each fruiting and flowering tree issuing from a rectangular gilt-metal jardiniere with canted corners, raised on four bracket feet, decorated with scrolling foliage, the front and back set with cloisonne panels featuring three sheep, the narrow sides set with panels depicting flowers, one tree laden with pomegranates, some highlighted with hardstone seeds, the other with peaches, their trunks entwined with a flowering vine and surrounded by flowering plants, and small images of sages and their attendants
