mounted in white metal, finely carved with panels of military and musical trophies, the cover depicting the figures of a soldier and young boy standing beside a gun carriage, the ends modelled with a grotesque mask with inset glass eyes and ivory tounge, and a cherub mask respectively, English, late 18th/early 19th century -- 3½in. (9cm) long
