Second edition of a privateering voyage round the world between 1708 and 1711. The sub-title mentions the sensational rescue of Alexander Selkirk from Juan Fernandez in 1709. Revealed to the world in Rogers' book, the story of Selkirk's 'living four years and four months alone on an island' became the basis for Daniel Defoe's romance of Robinson Crusoe (1719).
