AN INDIAN CAST COPPER AND ENAMELLED CUSPED PANDAN
INDIA, FIRST HALF 17TH CENTURY
Of lobed flowerhead form with separate domed cover, the surface covered with enamelled decoration, each lobe with a floral spray reserved against lavender ground, the lid with a central white roundel with rubbed floral design, the underside with an enamelled floral radiating arabesque in star form, the underside of the lid with central floral roundel with yellow floral arabesque on turquoise ground and surrounded by individual yellow-highlighted turquoise cypresses, some loss of enamel, small repairs
5 3/8 in. (13.7cm.) across.
