"I must admit that I have never tasted a '75 Bordeaux as impressive as this Lafite, drunk out of impriale. The wine is extraordinarily round, full, and ripe, with a profusion of red and black berry notes before a small hint of dried fruit and a suggestion of licorice, ginger, truffle and violets. On the palate the wine is still structured and savory, with a rich feel on the palate, tannins that still support the fruit very well, and a tremendous, lingering finish. This is truly drinking at its peak." CC, June 2005.
