AN EGYPTIAN PALE GREEN GLAZED COMPOSITION WADJ-PAPYRUS COLUMN
LATE PERIOD, CIRCA 7TH-4TH CENTURY B.C.
With incised decoration and strap suspension loop above, 2½ in. (6.4 cm.) high; together with a fragmentary Egyptian pale green glazed composition Ptaichos, the head with finely modelled features, extended eye-line and eyebrow, suspension loop attached at back of head, 1¼ in. (2.8 cm.) high; and an Egyptian fragmentary green glazed composition Bastet, the lion-headed goddess wearing tripartite wig and uraeus, wedjat-eye in left hand, back pillar inscribed: "Recitation by Bastet, ruler of Bubastis that she might give (life)...", 2 5/16 in. (6 cm.) long, both Late Period, circa 664-332 B.C. (3)
