A LARGE MYCENAEAN POTTERY HANDLED JUG
CIRCA 12TH-11TH CENTURY B.C.
The globular body with slightly flared neck, a single vertical handle attached to rim and shoulder, decorated with orange-brown band around rim and shoulder, three bands around body, vertical brush-stroke down the handle, 9¼ in. (23.5 cm.) high; a Mycenaean pottery jug, strap handle attached to rim and shoulder, decorated in dark brown with vertical and horizontal lines on neck, shoulder and upper body, lower body dark brown, circa 14th-11th Century B.C., 4 7/8 in. (12.4 cm.); a Mycenaean pottery single-handled cup, the body with everted rim, decorated on exterior in dark brown with stylized leaves and wavy lines, handle now missing, circa 14th Century B.C., 2½ in. (6.4 cm.) high; and a Greek black-glazed single-handled jug, with incised stylized branch on front shoulder, bands of white and red on body and shoulder, circa 5th-3rd Century B.C., 6½ in. (16.5 cm.) high (4)
