Shaped circular with gadroon border on four hoof feet, engraved to the centre with the coat of arms of George Finch, 8th Earl of Winchelsea, 4th Earl of Nottingham and Lord Lieutenant of Rutland, within a ribbon-tied laurel cartouche

Specialist note

George Finch was born in 1752 and suceeded his uncle to the titles in 1769. As a Lt. Col. in the 87th Foot he fought in the American War of Independence and was made a KG in 1805. A noted cricketer, Lord Winchelsea was a founder member of the MCC and sponsored their aquisition of Lord's Cricket Ground.
