Lot Essay

The present model was first exhibited by the prolific fondeur Susse Frères at the Paris Exposition Universelle in 1900 (see illustration). Edited by Susse in three reductions, the present lot being an example of the largest, the model subsequently appeared in the firm's printed catalogues until 1905.
