QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-95)
Finely incised around the exterior with floral clusters followed by a long inscription in kaishu script, the stone of a pale yellow tone with attractive brown inclusions

The inscription reads:
Yu ti yu zan shi
Hua se bai duo xiang
Yu zan ? yu lie
Mei ren qi chen zhuang
Sao tou yi zhi zhe

Which may be translated as:
Can be translated as:
(Title)Imperial poem for the jade hair pin
The flowers are white and aromatic
Hair pin ?
The beauty gets ready in the morning
She breaks off a branch for her hair as she combs it.
