The globular body with waisted neck and tall spreading foot, the decorative motifs divided into horizontal registers, the main decorative band with classic lotus scrolls repeated around the foot, below a band of flowering and fruiting sprays detailed with a butterfly and a band of grapes hanging from curling vines, mounted at the shoulder with twin lion-mask handles suspending loose rings

Compare with a vase of the same shape also with a grape vine band but decorated to the main body with two pairs of dragons, illustrated by H. Brinker and A. Lutz, Chinese Cloisonné, The Pierre Uldry Collection, London, 1989, no. 118.
