YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN DOUBLE CIRCLES AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-35)
With gently rounded shallow sides, the interior delicately painted in the centre with a medallion of stylised lotus blooms borne on meandering leafy scrolls repeated as a freize on the exterior, all within double-circle borders
5 7/8 in. (14.9 cm.) diam.

Lot Essay

A similar dish was sold in our Hong Kong Rooms, 20 May 2006, lot 140. A pair of Yongzheng dishes with similar design but decorated in the doucai palette was included in the Min Chiu Society Exhibition, An Anthology of Chinese Ceramics, Hong Kong Museum of Art, Hong Kong, 1980, catalogue no. 148.
