JIAQING IRON-RED SEAL MARKS AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820)
Each dish finely enamelled to the interior in iron-red with a shou roundel encircled by five bats, the exterior with four roundels each enclosing a character of the greeting wan, shou, wu, jiang, 'boundless longevity', interspersed by stylised lotus blooms borne on leafy scrolls above endless knots, all reserved on a lemon-yellow ground, the mouth rims with traces of gilt
