KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
Each strikingly painted in shades of cobalt with an archaistic vase on a stand on each side divided by two ribboned tasseled motifs, all suspended from a multiple band of scrolling lotus, ruyi and geometric patterns at the shoulder, the tapering necks with leafy camellia branches below a similar band

Two bottles with identical designs, but with necks cut down and mounted with Ottoman silver rims and covers, are illustrated by R. Krahl, Chinese Ceramics in the Topkapi Saray Museum, Istanbul, London, 1986, vol. III, no. 2158, p. 1012.
