Château Cheval-Blanc--Vintage 1981
Saint-Emilion, 1er grand cru classé (A)
Slightly bin-soiled labels. Levels base of neck or better
Tasting note: Very good in cask and its natural sweetness noted through the 1980s. Showing well on its 10th birthday: powerful, fragrant, harmonious, good fruit and grip. Drinking perfectly in 1994. Most recently an impressive impriale: opaque core; sweet, perfect weight, good flavour with hint of Cheval-Blanc's iron (from the soil). **** M.B.(1990's)
12 bottles per lot
