SIGNED YASUMI, EARLY SHOWA PERIOD (20TH CENTURY)

Yasumi is the Go, or art name of Nakajima Mitsuo. An Osaka-based artist, his work is characterised by flowing, elegant lines and abstract forms. He exhibited at the Osaka Prefectural and Municipal exhibitions, winning numerous prizes. Following the war he exhibited and won a prize at the Nitten (the Annual Japan Art Exhibition).
