Signed Kajikawa saku and with red pot seal, Edo Period (19th century)
Decorated in gold, silver and black hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, togidashi-e and hirame on a black ground with a dramatic design of a carp swimming up a waterfall, the reverse with another carp, nashiji interiors, fundame rims, attached wood manju netsuke and ojime similarly decorated with carp in a rocky stream
