RARE WINES OF THE WORLD FEATURING A RARE SELECTION OF LARGE FORMATS
This selection of wines comes from a much larger consignment, some of which was offered a number of years ago to great success, and some of which will be offered in our June sale. Everything in this consignment was bought on release and stored either in professional wine storage, or custom-built home storage. The consignment begins with an impressive collection of pristine blue chip Bordeaux, including 1990 Pétrus and 1990 Lafleur, as well as numerous cases of left bank wines. After a break for some rare white Bordeaux and Champagne, two cases of DRC are on offer, both of which are in wood banded prior to inspection by Christie's specialists. Following this is a deep collection of Californian wines, as well as more esoteric things, concluding with an array of large formats, including Melchiors and Nebuchadnezzars. In short, this collection runs the gamut from the most desirable collectible wines, to wines for drinking now. The thread holding everything together is the pristine storage and provenance of this collection.
