Williamson and Engleheart (op. cit.) record that Captain O'Brien [sic] sat to Engleheart in 1808.
Captain Lord Edward O'Bryen was the son of Edward O'Bryen and Mary Carrick. He married Diana Hotham (d. 1810), daughter of General George Hotham and Diana Pennyman, in 1805 and secondly, Gertrude Grace Methuen (d. 1817), daughter of Paul Cobbe Methuen and Matilda Gooch, on 11 April 1815. He married, thirdly, Lady Elizabeth Susan Somerset (d. 1876), daughter of Henry Charles Somerset, 6th Duke of Beaufort and Lady Charlotte Sophia Leveson-Gower, on 16 April 1822. He died on 9 March 1824.
