Lot Essay

When sold Sotheby's, London, 22 April 1968, the present miniature formed part of a group of portraits by Guglielmo Faija of members of the royal family and members of the artist's own family including his son Ferdinand (lot 66), his father Gaetano (lot 69), and a self-portrait (lot 64).
