tapering flattened rectangular bloodstone case with domed top and base, pierced cagework mounts stamped with reeded scrolls and foliage, hinge at the short end, gem-set pushpiece, the inside fitted with steel scissors with gold handles, an ivory tablet, a gold ear-spoon, a gold folding knife, steel tweezers and one other implement; suspended from the base of a hinged gilt-metal clasp inset with cartouche-shaped bloodstone panels and hung with two aventurine breloques
