slightly tapering rectangular étui-à-tablettes, of oblong section, all sides of cover and base of opaque white enamel, obverse and reverse of cover applied with diamond-set inscription 'SOUVENIR D'AMITIE', the obverse and reverse of base both applied with oval enamel plaques depicting classical scenes of love, within translucent green enamel husk borders, the interior with ivory tablets and pencil
