GENEVA OR HANAU, CIRCA 1820/1840, WITH TWO RUBBED MARKS INCLUDING A MAKER'S MARK IN A LOZENGE
rectangular box with rounded corners, the cover centred by an oval enamel plaque depicting Cupid and Zephyr, framed by a narrow blue enamel band, the raised broad sablé lid cast with flowers and foliage in three-colour gold and platinum, the sides and base with panels of peaked engine-turning, raised flowers and foliage on a matted ground at the corners
