composed of frames of lilac, pink, blue and light brown printed cottons with a central panel of flowers on a lattice enclosing "The Betsey", a fully rigged ship, quilted with 'snails', leaves and petals with cross-hatching--72 x 84in. (180 x 210cm), 19th century; and a white coverlet applied with stars and diamonds of shades of red/brown and white chintzes--88 x 100in. (220 x 250cm), 1840s
