ATTRIBUTED TO THE PAINTER OF LOUVRE F6, CIRCA 560-550 B.C.
The body with four warriors facing left between a mantled youth to the left and a bearded man to the right, each warrior armed with greaves, a circular shield, a spear and a crested Corinthian helmet, the armor alternating in red and black, the black shields with blazons in added white, a flying bird for one, a swan for the other; framed by double bands of ivy on either side; the shoulders with a mantled youth between sphinxes, between panthers; a band of alternating red and black tongues above; a band of rosettes low on the neck between raised moldings, rays above the foot, details in added red and white
