Lot Essay

Spyros Vassiliou helped Danish artist Bette Manthos organise an exhibition of her work in Athens in 1973. He also wrote the foreword of her exhibition catalogue. The present lot was a gift to her, and is inspired by a dinner they attended in Athens in restaurant Kostis.
