Lot Essay

The current owner who was also represented by Bertha Stewart, who arranged for him to give elocution lessons to Louis Armstrong's son, as he suffered from a stutter. In appreciation of this, and for assisting Mrs. Stewart towards the end of her life, he was gifted the trumpet as a thank you.
