PRESENTATION COPY of the second edition. 'A representation drawn from Nature of some of the most beautiful, hardy and rare Hebraceous Plants cultivated in the Flower Garden' (Dunthorne). The author was William Roscoe's daughter-in-law and the mother of the poet and novelist Margaret Sandbach (1812-1852), better known as a botanical artist under her maiden name of Margaret Lace.
