Compare with two identical bowls of this same size and incised decoration, the first from the National Palace Museum Collection, Taipei, is illustrated in Catalogue of the Special Exhibition of Selected Hsuan-te Imperial Porcelains of the Ming Dynasty, Taipei, 1998, p. 361, no. 153, incised with bands of petal; and the other from the Cunliffe Collection, sold at Bonhams London, 11 November 2002, lot 66. The Cunliffe bowl is decorated with a single band of lotus petals as on the present example.
