"A lovely wine, all the component parts showing welll in the fall of 1984. By 1996 (at the Canon v.Lynch-Bages tasting) a lovely, soft, polished, mature appearance; very sweet, somewhat rustic, chocolatey, fully evolved nose; lovely ripe tannins and crisp acidity, light style but good length. Yet three months later, from my own cellar, though extolling its colour and nose, added a bit bland. Last noted at a Sunday lunch, June 1996. At best **** But drink up." MB, Vintage Wine
